Why we serve

The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.

Ways to help

Bring the gifts and time you have

CEF Ventura trains and supports volunteers, whether they serve directly with children or help a club behind the scenes.

Pray

Pray for the children, families, teachers, and helpers in local clubs.

Teach or help

Receive training to teach, assist, provide refreshments, or handle practical club needs.

Involve your church

Invite your church to adopt a school, recruit a team, and support a local club.

Serve in leadership

Ask about the local Oversight Committee, which meets monthly most of the year.

Serve locally

There's a place for you to help

CEF Ventura depends on volunteers who pray, teach, help with clubs, serve behind the scenes, and invite their churches to adopt a local school. Training and support help each person serve children with care and confidence.

Serving children with care

Child Protection Policy

The CEF® Ventura County chapter is here to train, equip and encourage you as you follow God's leading in making an eternal difference in the lives of the children in our community.

In today’s society child abuse and child accusations are occurring daily. Therefore it is important that Child Evangelism Fellowship® take steps to protect the children to whom we minister and protect our workers from false accusations.

The Mailbox Club

In addition to participating in a Good News Club® during the school year, those children or teens who wish to encounter God and grow in spiritual maturity are encouraged to join "The Mailbox Club," a long time CEF® partner, which equips them through correspondence courses geared to their age group. They can work on their lessons during the school year as well during the summer vacation months.
