Christian Youth in Action®

Learn to share the Gospel with children

CYIA equips young people through training, practice, and supervised summer ministry.

Program overview

Training for meaningful summer ministry

Christian Youth in Action® is a summer training and ministry program that helps young people own their faith and share the Gospel clearly, effectively, and in a way children can understand.

During a one-week training session, participants learn to present the Gospel on a child's level, counsel a child for salvation, teach Bible lessons and missionary stories, lead songs and games, teach Bible verses, and guide a lively review time.

After training, participants serve in community clubs that primarily welcome children who don't regularly attend church. Those who complete the program receive a certificate of completion.

The June 20–26, 2026 training session and its June 1 registration deadline have passed. Contact CEF Ventura for the next schedule and application details.
